Nathan really liked the Shark Reef in Mandalay Bay. After that we went to his first Vegas stage show - The Lion King!

My new favorite place - The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida. We took the girls there for a few nights and they had a great time too! It was close to Uncle Brian too!

Catching Up!

So much has happened since last I had a chance to Blog! It is hard to keep up with this along with facebook and all the stuff between now and my last post. I will try to recap:
Florida came to Kentucky for Thanksgiving
Went to Florida for Christmas
Celebrated our one year anniversary at Melting Pot
Took two more classes in the Spring
Met Cristi and Jenny in Snowshoe, WV on the worst snow weekend of the year!
Nathan started on and has now almost finished our backyard makeover at the house in Lexington!
We re-drywalled and tiled the laundry room in Morehead and fixed some plumbing and electric issues there, with some help from the Morehead rents! :)
Took on the role of Secretary for my PEO chapter here in Lexington.
Nathan got more serious about his guitar and music playing, and has a small band to play with!
Went to Vegas for work and hung out with my Mom.
Nathan came to Vegas too and was saw the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam
Nathan and I worked hard to get a vegetable garden going in Lexington, we had brocolli, bussell sprouts, maters, jalapenos and cukes!
Was invited and started serving on the Board of Directors for the Children's Museum in Lexington - The Explorium
My brother and Mandy finally tied the knot
Went to Florida to have a vacation with my nieces at The Breakers and Katie mastered swimming!
Started my lifelong goal of beginning my own event planning business! Clink is born!

See we have been busy! More fun to come!

Lucy and Cats

So Lucy was in Morehead this weekend and on one of her many encounters with Cats she lost a battle. At first we thought the cat did no make it, so she was going to be in big trouble. Then the cat turned up just fine, but Lucy on the other hand had a bad cut on her ear. We brought her home to give her a bath and that opened up the scab so she was bleeding from her ear. In an effort to keep her from doing the "Shakey" and splattering blood everywhere we tried to bandage her up. This is the funny result! Lucy has since recovered well, and back to torture Cats once again....

C-A-T-S spells.....GO GATORS!!!

Last night was our first UK basketball game of the season. Nathan was excited to go and overall we had a fun night. It was an exhibition game, which is basically a game to showboat around in. We have our same seats as last year and I think they have a great view of the whole court. Although we would like to be a few rows down closer, we will take what we can get at this point! :)

Sesame Street Live

So a few weekends back I went with Leslie and Henry to see Sesame Street Live. I of course had to have a kid with me to disguise me as an adult Sesame Street fan...:)

It was the night before Henry's 6th birthday so he was really excited to begin with. I was worried that he might be too old to like the show but as soon as it started he was wide eyed and happy! I love how he anticipates the flash of the camera. Every picture I took he was a squinty eyed! :)

The best pizza ever!!

So in September I was in Chicago for a meeting and found the BEST PIZZA EVER!

I forgot to blog about it so sorry this is late....
It is called Giordano's and it is a "stuffed Chicago style pizza". I am sure that one slice will set you back a thousand calories but it is so worth it. There are locations in Chicago and in Florida so we will be going when we are home again and find one! Junior told me about it when I was in the windy city so I hunted one down!
Nathan needs to experience this, especially when he was like "there is just a bunch of sauce on top" ....he has no idea.....

Lance Armstrong and Austin TX

So I went to Austin for work but did not get to see much of the town other than our hotel and the convention center. I did however get to see Lance Armstrong!

Also while walking to a local CVS for some things I did see some interesting local folks and sites that I feel like I should share about Texas....Austin in particular....You can find the real "Urban Cowboy" or a construction worker in a cowboy hat in downtown....and everything is bigger and bolder in Texas, proved by this massive cool looking guitar!
